Three Principles of Cheong Holistic Medicine: 1. We not only treat Dis-Ease, but a Human. 2. Maximize self-healing power through self-love. 3. Train self to heal others.
The uniqueness of our Holistic Medicine (a.k.a Traditional Chinese Medicine) is to understand a Body/Human ‘as a whole.’ In TCM, our body is a small universe, which resembles this universe in solar system. By this principle, our own body also has a ‘Law of Universe’ within us. When visiting Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner/Acupuncturists, we often hear Yin & Yang, 5 Elements, Meridians etc. Yin & Yang symbolizes Sun and Moon, whereas 5 Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, & Water) symbolize major Stars in this Solar System.
Just like this universe, our body has a lot of inter-connections, skillful doctors are able to understand this idea with Holistic Concepts, in turn, when applying this Holistic Principles in our body, we can find ‘cure’ for ‘dis-ease’ (Dis + Ease = Disease).
The eternal goal of our healing principles is not only perceive and treat body only, but will treat mind and spirit, ‘as a whole.’ In TCM theory, this can also be understood as Body-Mind-Spirit or Essence-Energy-Spirit.

안녕하세요. 캐나다 밴쿠버 다운타운에 위치한 청(淸)한의원-신의학네트워크의 원장 Dr. Spencer Oh 입니다. 2002년 5월1일 자생한방의료원 (Westend Acupuncture) 으로 개원후, 찾아주신 수많은 환자분들께 진심으로 감사드립니다. 지난 15년이 넘는 짧지않은 기간동안, 찾아주신 많은 환자분들의 성원에 더불어, 본원도 그동안 꾸준히 여러방면으로 발전해 왔습니다.
2002년 현지의 International College of TCM의 DTCM 과정을 졸업후, 침구사, 중약사, 모든시험을 1차합격하였고, 2005년 한인최초로 Dr.TCM (고급중의사) 고시를 통과한후, 면허를 취득하였으며, 2008-2011년에는 중국 최고수준의 광저우 중의약대학/광동성중의원에서 3년간 우수한 연구생으로 학습후에 의학석사 (침구-중서의결합 전공) 을 취득하였습니다.
졸업과 동시에 2011년에는 본원 소유의 건물 Unit을 밴쿠버 다운타운의 의료중심가 Burrard Health Centre 405호로 이전하여, 한의원의 모든 환경을 한방의 모든치료법을 구사할수 있는 공간으로 재구성하였습니다.
2012년에는 20년가까이 수련해온 중국무술 라마권술/의술의 장문인인 라위강 로사의 계승인으로 무술과 함께 민간의술 골상과 질타요법을 전수받기도 하였습니다.
의사 이기도 하지만, 무술가이기도 하고, 동약철학가, 요가강사, 그리고 주짓수사범이기도 합니다. 물론 환자를 보는 본업외에는 모두 본업의 능력을 배가시켜주는 Discipline이기도 합니다.
수기치인이라는 율곡선생님의 말씀을 철학으로 삼으며, 의사는 자신을 수양하여 발전하는것이 치료의 첫걸음이라고 생각합니다, 이것은 자애, 즉 자신에 대한 사랑으로 부터 시작할수 있는것입니다. 매일매일, 조금더 나은 인간(人)이 되기위해 노력합니다, 또 그럼으로서 여러분께 조금이나마 더 도움되는 의사가 될수 있다고 확신합니다.
인생의 가장 중요한것은 무엇보다 건강입니다. 건강은 몸뿐만 아닌, 마음, 그리고 영적인 평안함을 포괄하는것이라 봅니다. 이러한경우에도 먼저 선행하셔야 할것은 자기자신을 사랑하는것 입니다. 자기자신을 사랑하지 않으면, 아무도 사랑할수 없습니다.
